Statement of Faith

What we believe at Faith Vanguard.

This statement summarizes the core biblical convictions that shape the message, mission, and ministry of Faith Vanguard.

1. The Bible

We believe the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, authoritative, and infallible Word of God. It is the final rule for faith and life, completely trustworthy and sufficient for teaching, correction, and training in righteousness.

2. God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is holy, sovereign, all-powerful, all-knowing, and perfectly just and loving.

3. Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross as a substitute for our sins, rose bodily from the grave on the third day, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return personally and visibly in power and glory.

4. The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, regenerates and indwells all true believers, and empowers them to live holy, fruitful, and bold lives. The Spirit distributes spiritual gifts to believers for the building up of the Church and the advancement of the Gospel.

5. Humanity and Sin

We believe that all people are created in the image of God, with dignity, worth, and purpose. Because of sin, humanity is separated from God, spiritually dead, and unable to save itself. Every person stands in need of God’s grace and salvation.

6. Salvation

We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. We are not saved by our works, goodness, or religious efforts, but solely by trusting in the finished work of Jesus Christ—His death and resurrection. Those who repent and believe the Gospel are forgiven, justified, adopted into God’s family, and given eternal life.

7. The Church

We believe the Church is the people of God, made up of all true believers in every time and place. The local church is God’s primary instrument for worship, discipleship, and mission in the world. Believers are called to gather regularly, submit to biblical leadership, use their gifts in service, and participate in the Great Commission.

8. The Christian Life and Mission

We believe followers of Jesus are called to live lives of holiness, love, integrity, and courage. Every believer is called to be a witness—to share the Gospel with urgency, compassion, and clarity. Faith Vanguard exists to help believers and churches embrace this calling and lead from the front in evangelism and disciple-making.

9. Things to Come

We believe Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly to judge the living and the dead and to fully establish His Kingdom. There will be a bodily resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous: everlasting joy in the presence of God for those who are in Christ, and eternal separation from God for those who reject Him.

These convictions are not merely ideas on paper—they are the foundation for the urgency, boldness, and hope that drive Faith Vanguard’s ministry.
